Horses on the farm

Looking for great tasting food, not to mention loaded with vitamins and minerals?  Or are you looking for a great looking horse with lots of sense and color to top it off?  OR BOTH?
Cattle, hogs, chickens and more raised without any chemicals or hormones.  I also raise foundation bred quarter horses with an emphasis on the Poco Bueno bloodline.   The filly pictured in the heading is out of my Blackburn/Pretty Buck mare by my One Poco King stallion.  She has shed out a very dark grulla, she is NOT for sale at this time.  I have decided to sell my stallion, One Poco King.  He is 98% NFQHA.  He is priced at $2750.

I have sold most of my weanlings, yearlings and older horses.  I do have one 2 y.o. dun filly by One Poco King for sale and one dun mare who is a half sister to my stallion. One Poco King, son of Poco King Stripe sired of all of my '08 babies.  He sired LOTS of color.  I should have 2-3 foals in 2011.  I will post more info and pictures as it's gets closer.  I have decided to sell my stallion One Poco King.  I am getting out of the horse raising business, please contact me for pictures and pedigrees.  See "About Us" for a slide show of a few of these and also page labeled Horses on the Farm.  Watch for "new" pictures to be posted.

I also raise grassfed beef, hogs and free range chickens.  I have for sale beef, pork, chicken and eggs. Get great tasting meat, full of flavor AND vitamins and minerals that you do not get with conventionally raised beef, pork, eggs and chicken.  Livestock and chickens need to eat what is natural for them to achieve the vitamin and mineral content in their meat and eggs.  If the soil is managed correctly grass will be just what they need, full of lots of vitamins and minerals.  Reports show that grassfed beef products contain higher levels of carotenes, conjugated linoleic acid or CLA, vitamin E, Omega 3 fatty acids.  Some of the health benefits include: protection against development of cancer, heart disease, improved immune function, decreased memory loss, lower risk of Alzheimer's disease, antioxidants to protect cells against free radicals and the list goes on.

I've added a few pictures from winter 2009 and spring 2010.  See additional pages.

I lived on a farm growing up.  Not only did our food come from local sources, but it was raised in a more natural and humane way.  As most already know the  benefits of grassfed and naturally raised meat and eggs I won't go into it in depth.  Unfortunaly our country has changed, for the worse, in raising our food.  Some of us didn't realize how good we had it when we were growing up.  For more info click on site map in the left hand column.  There you will find other websites that have invaluable information.
